The animation VIENTO by Teresa Tomás is projected on Overlapping memories.
Overlapping memories is a visual art exchange project between Pittsburgh and Quart de Poblet involving artists based in both ciountries. The idea of the exchange is to connect contemporary artists from U.S.A and Spain who have been invited to respond to the concept of memory and retrospection in the context of contemporary collage.
The U.S.A part of the proposed project is principally coordinated by Carolina Loyola Garcia, artist, university lecturer and curator based in Pittsburgh, PA. Residencies and events will take place in SPACE, Pittsburgh, from the 10th of February to the 1st of April 2012.
The Spanish part of the proposed project is principally coordinated by Ima Picó, artist and director of black duck and Cristina Ghetti, artist and director of Red Nomade. Residencies and events will take place in Quart Jove, Quart de Poblet from the 25th of February to the 24th of March 2012.
